Bye Bye Bill

Recently, we have seen a new side,
One which we did not know was inside.
For years we screamed and complained,
Felt ignored, and many joined the Apple train.
The products just kept getting bigger,
Demanding more from us, and each computer.
There was a lot of blame going around,
Whose fault was it for losing this ground,
Bill and Microsoft said to be evil,
With size and heft huge, unmovable.
At least now we know, perhaps a small consolation,
That even you Bill, by Microsoft, was filled with frustration.

with lights dimmed, now brighter

What's a developer to do?

Outside I see the sun. And people
Having fun not working – work,
Playing games, lying down, holding hands,
Their hands, my left knee, warmed by the sun,
